Introduction

We have been reviewing punctuation and how it can be used for effect in our writing.

Today, we will be reviewing all that we have learned for our quiz tomorrow.

Video/Visual

period - used at the end of a sentence
commas - marks a pause during a sentence
question mark - used at the end of a question
exclamation mark - used for expression when making a declaration
semi colon - used to separate two independent clauses
colon - used to separate items on a list
quotation marks - used to show direct speech within text
hyphen - used to join two adjectives before a noun
brackets/parentheses - used to provide additional information
ellipses - used to signify missing text

Please use punctuation correctly. (Refer to the graphic as needed.)
