💛Module 4: W1 - Day 5 - ELA
Lesson Instructions
You will go through two lessons (one in grammar and one in reading).
GRAMMAR
Introduction
When we write, we have the power to show tone and feeling! One way to do this is through punctuation. We need to make sure that we are using the right punctuation, or our writing may be misinterpreted.
Today, we will be learning about the function of the quotation mark.

In Your Notebook: Add to the punctuation chart. Make sure to include the purpose of the punctuation. Then, create your own sentences using the punctuation.
READING
Introduction
We learned that sometimes root words come from Greek or Latin words, but sometimes our phrases and words in English also come from myths! Our reading focus for the next few lessons will be reading greek myths and trying to understand the word that was created from the myth.
Yesterday, we learned the word "echo." Today, we will be finding out the origins of the phrase "Achilles heel."
