Introduction

The past few grammar lessons have been reviewing capitalization. Remember, it is not enough to just know the rules, but we also have to use them in our day to day writing. Tomorrow is your quiz on capitalization.

Capitalization with M.I.N.T.S. - Copy the chart and provide an example of at least one word that would need to be capitalized following the MINTS strategy. months, Days of the week, & Holidays "i" stands alone Names of people, places & Things
(proper Nouns) Titles of Books, Magazines, movies, jobs. Start of sentencesCapitalization in Titles - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Important nouns, verbs, pronouns are capitalized. The first and last words are ALWAYS capitalized. Articles, prepositions, and conjunctions are NOT capitalized unless they are the first word.

Today we will learning about narrative introductions and writing! Introductions are important because they capture our readers' attention and make them want to read what we have written!
