Adverbs

Introduction

Hi grammarians! Yesterday, we reviewed the function of an adverb in sentences. Today, we will learn about relative adverbs.

Relative adverbs look a lot like our typical "question words." They are where, when, and why.

Where tells us place, when tells us the time, and the why tells us reasons.

In Your Notebook: Write three sentences using the relative adverbs.

Introduction

In our last lesson, we filled out our introduction section of our graphic organizer. Today, we will be filling out our conclusion section!

Conclusions should wrap up your writing and restate ideas introduced in the first paragraph. You can also have a call to action or answer the question... "why does this matter?"

Remember to use the lesson as guideline. You should be creating these things on your own first and then checking with the teacher's copy second.
