Introduction

Hello grammarians! Do you remember the definition of a verb? Most of the time, we think about actions like ran, teach, read, eat, and more. There are also other verb types as well.

In Your Notebook:  Please write VERBS on the top and list as many verbs as you can think of! Can’t think of any? Open a book and find verbs. There should be one for every sentence!

Domain-Specific Vocabulary Words

Introduction

When we are reading, writing, and speaking about a topic, we often have to use specific vocabulary to sound like experts in that topic. These words are not in our regular everyday vocabulary, but they deal with a particular subject or domain. There are three levels of our vocabulary, as shown in the video below.

In Your Notebook:  Write down the three levels of vocabulary. Think and write some LEVEL 3 words for the following topics: science, government, and math.
