Locating Physical and Man-Made Features of the United States - Day 136
Introduction
Timetravelers, so far our journey through time has taken us from the Revolution to Reconstruction in America. We have learned so many interesting things along the way. In this module, we will be retracing some of our steps to examine some of the ways geography; the study of the physical features of the earth, and of human activity, has affected the American experience as well.
Today, you will create two venn diagrams to compare some vocabulary terms in geography. As you work to define these terms, be sure to think about how they could influence decisions. For example: Pretend you are running from a friend while playing hide-and-seek. You come across a creek. Do you turn back towards the friend that is following you and risk being caught? Or do you run through the creek and risk getting soaked?
