Introduction
The next topic we will be learning about is the Constitutional Convention. The Constitutional Convention took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Fifty-five delegates from different states met from May 25 until September 17, 1787. At first, the delegates wanted to improve the Articles of Confederation, but they ended up creating the U.S. Constitution as a new framework of government. The Constitutional Convention is also called the Philadelphia Convention. There were three big things that happened before the Convention to show that the new American government still needed some work.
