Investigate: Weather Patterns - Day 12

Introduction

Hello, again!

Wow… you have been learning so many things about the weather! You have learned about different types of clouds and weather tools. You have learned the difference between weather and climate, and you have collected data as you have observed clouds and weather in your community.

In the next lessons, we will focus on information found on weather maps. You will learn how that information can be used to forecast the weather. You will practice using information on a weather map to predict the weather.

Today, grab your “Weather Patterns in My Community” data collection sheet. Download “Weather Patterns in My Community” data collection sheet.

Record your weather observations and data. Don't forget to do this EACH day. You will be using your data in a discussion post soon!

After recording your data, look back at your observations. Do you notice any patterns? Are there any patterns between temperature and precipitation? humidity and temperature? wind patterns and precipitation? or anything else?

In your Science Journal, write down anything that might appear to be a pattern and see if the pattern continues!
