Investigate Simple Machines - Day 20
Introduction
You have learned that an object at rest will remain at rest unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. This force could be a push or pull.
You have learned that not only can forces set objects at rest in motion, but they can also affect the path, or direction, of objects in motion.
In addition, you have learned that the amount of force needed to change the movement of an object can be different based on the mass of the object or the amount of friction acting against the motion of the object.
Today, you will begin exploring how the direction of a force OR the amount of force needed to move an object can be changed by the use of SIMPLE MACHINES. Letβs get started!
