Introduction: Good Vibrations: A Device that Produces a Sound

Today, you will have a chance to build and test the original “instrument” that you planned to build in the previous lesson.

You will have a chance to highlight your instrument and explain the science behind its sound in a Flip assignment.

Directions:

  • Think about what you have learned about the production of sound.

  • Use your collected household materials to create an original instrument that produces a sound.

  • Then, create a Flip video that highlights the sound it produces and explain HOW a vibration plays a part in the production of the sound.

  • Be creative, think scientifically, and HAVE FUN!
