🔵 Investigate: Weather Patterns - Day 16
Investigate: Weather Patterns - Day 16
Introduction
Now, it’s time to take on the role of meteorologist as you use your knowledge to predict the weather!
You will observe 3 days worth of weather maps. You will notice and think about the symbols and the story they tell. You will look for patterns. Then, you will predict what the weather will be like on the 4th day where you live.
Meteorologist for a Moment
Activity: My Weather Forecast
Directions:
- After engaging with the instructional slides, “Meteorologist for a Moment”, use what you have learned to make a prediction about what the weather will likely be like where you live on the 4th day.
- Using the first 3 days as inspiration, add weather lines and symbols to show your weather prediction. You can print the map PDF and use your own pencils or use annotation tools directly on the PDF.
- Create a map key that explains all lines and symbols on your map. Again, feel free to use the first 3 days of weather maps as inspiration!
- Upload your completed map. You WILL use this map in a “weather forecast” coming up!
