Now that you have investigated the difference between weather and climate, let’s dig deeper into understanding WEATHER.

When someone asks you to describe the weather, what do you say? Would you describe it as sunny, cloudy, rainy, hot, or cold?

Weather is the condition of the atmosphere, layers of gasses that surround the Earth, at a given time or place.

So, what are the things that can affect the atmosphere that cause “weather” in a certain time or place? Is there a “recipe” for weather?

YES! There are 4 main “ingredients” that when combined in different ways will cause the weather that you experience where you live. Those 4 ingredients are…

  • humidity
