Dividing Using Rectangular Models

Introduction

Marvelous Mathematicians! Now that we have practiced being able to divide using rectangular models, let’s look at situations in which we would have to use division to solve the problem. In problems involving division, you want to think about what is occurring in the situation.  In the division situations listed below, you will be looking at contexts in which there is fair sharing.  Fair sharing as in shared equally, is a situation we would use division to solve.  Keep that in mind as you solve the given word problems.
