Using Rectangular Models to Divide 2 Digit Dividends

Introduction

Mathematicians, in our previous lessons, we have explored situations in which we divide, the relationship between multiplication and division, as well as what to do when we cannot share parts into equal groups.  As we move forward through this module, we will explore strategies to divide multi digit whole numbers by single digit divisors.  Keep in mind, these strategies will become easier and easier as we continue to think of place value and the relationship between multiplication and division.
