Unit 8, Lesson 10-- Investigating Quadrilaterals
Lesson 10-- Investigating Quadrilaterals
Introduction
Hello Mathematicians! Today we will investigate quadrilaterals.
Visual
Take a look at these special types of quadrilaterals. What do you notice about their angles, lines, and side lengths?
Interactive
Directions:
- Today, you will sort shapes by their similarities and differences.
- Look for:
- right angles
- sets of parallel lines
- sets of sides with equal length
- Use the drawing tools to draw circles around groups of shapes and label the groups (for example: "all sides equal" or "all right angles"). Some shapes may overlap groups. You may also leave shapes outside of the rings you create.
- What would be a label for the entire group?
