Hello Mathematicians! Today we will learn about classifying shapes, or sorting shapes based on their attributes.

Part 1 Directions:

  • Sort the polygons by number of sides.

Part 2 Directions:

  • In the rectangle challenge below, find and shade all the triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, and hexagons. Use the highlighter tool to shade the shapes you find.
    • The first one has been done as an example of a triangle.
  • Earn points for each shape that you find:
    • 3 points for triangles
    • 4 points for quadrilaterals
    • 5 points for pentagons
    • 6 points for hexagons
  • Can you earn all 54 points?
