Part 1 Directions:
- Open the interactive slide deck link below, and make a copy.
- Complete each Venn diagram by sorting the polygons based on angles and lines.

Part 2 Directions:
- Today you will go on a polygon scavenger hunt!
- Look around your classroom, home, or outdoors for polygons. Remember: polygons are closed figures with straight sides.
- Take a picture or draw each shape (use a straight edge, like a ruler or the edge of a piece of paper, to help you).
- In your notebook, for each polygon, describe:
- The sides:
- How many sides?
- Are there any sets of parallel sides?
- Are any of the side lengths congruent?
- The corners:
- How many corners/ vertices?
- What kind of angles are the corners? (right?, acute?, obtuse?)
- Are there any congruent angles?
- Is the shape convex or concave?
- Lines of symmetry:
- Are there any lines of symmetry?
- The sides:
