  • In today's lab, you will explore using a number line to find equivalent fractions.
    • Open the Fractions: Equality Lab
    • On the upper right, click on the number line.
  • Open the interactive slide deck below, and make a copy.
  • Complete the lab activities to complete the chart.

Part 2 Directions:

  • Six frogs were having a jumping contest.  Their jumping distance in yards is in the chart below.
  • Answer the following question: 
    • Which frogs jumped the same distance?
  • Use the interactive to build number lines with fraction tiles to prove your answer.  Then show your thinking in your journal using pictures, numbers, and words.
