Introduction

Hello Mathematicians! Today you will use what you know about the properties of multiplication to multiply by 7.

Part 1 Directions:

  • Draw the chart below in your math notebook.
  • Create your own multiplication story that shows items that come in groups of 9. Draw a picture, write a story problem, and model
    the equation with a number line.

Part 2 Directions:

  • Now that you have strategies for all of your multiplication facts, you can play 4 in a Row.
  • Open the interactive game board, and make a copy.
  • To play:
    • Roll a dice. (If you need a digital dice, use the one below.)
    • Then, choose a fact in that column to practice your multiplication facts.
    • Afterwards, you can cover it.
    • Try to get 4 in a row to win!
