Hello Second Graders!

This week you will begin the next stage in your writing process and complete your research project. Review the writing process and what you need to do in each stage. Today you will begin the draft for your animal research presentation. You will use your graphic organizer and the information you gathered last week to begin your writing.  Continue to review the life cycle of different animals and begin writing using your own research.

Begin the next stage by reviewing the different parts of informational writing. Review what you need to include in your writing as you begin to focus on organizing your ideas and beginning the writing process for your animal life cycle.

Begin your writing in your writing journal. Focus on each part of your writing, make sure you have a strong topic sentence, include the facts that you gather in an order that is easy to understand and follow for your reader and include a strong conclusion.
