 Introduction

Hello Second Graders!

When writing about our opinion, you want to start your writing with a strong sentence. The sentence needs to tell your readers what our opinion is and state your feelings about the topic you are writing about. The readers should know whether you like the topic or do not like the topic just by reading the first sentence. The first sentence should also state the topic and tell the reader what the writing is about. Today, you will focus on writing a strong starting sentence for your opinion writing: Would You Rather…?

Today you will continue to work on your Would You Rather presentation. In the previous lesson, you completed the starting sentence. Today you will give three reasons why you feel that way. Use your reasons to support your opinion and include adjectives to give your sentences more details.
