 Introduction

This week you will connect your social studies lessons to your writing. You will write about one of the people or groups that you have learned about during social studies. You will gather the information about the person or group you chose and work through the writing process. You will include the use of reference materials in your writing this week. You will also include text features, such as a table of contents and a glossary for several words from your writing. You will create a presentation of your biography. Let’s take a look at what a biography is and then get started with the prewriting stage.

You will select a person or group of people from your social studies lessons to complete your writing about. Write a post on the discussion board to tell us who you selected to be your person and begin brainstorming the facts you already know about that person or group.
