 Introduction

This quarter you have been working on informational writing. You have researched an animal and written a factual report. You have also used the information you learned in science to write a letter to a friend. For the next couple of weeks, you will write a how-to story. You will write a sequence of events that teach someone how to make or do something. Today, you will look at a presentation of an example of how-to writing. Then, you will decide what you want to write about. What is something you know how to make or how to do? What steps would you take to complete this activity?
