🔵5.2 Writing: Fables and Folktales

Lesson Title: Fables and Folktales

Week 5 Day 2

Writing Fables on Your Own

Introduction

Yesterday, you put the fable, The Goose and the Golden Egg in sequential order and began planning your own fable. You planned your characters, the setting of the story and what lesson your characters will learn in the story. Today, you will begin planning what will happen in the beginning, middle and end of your story.

Moral Chart Video

One of the elements to a fable is the moral of the story. The characters face a challenge and learn a lesson along the way. This is the moral of the story. Your fable will have events and challenges that the characters face that will lead them to the moral of the story. Deciding what lesson your character will learn is part of your planning process.
