🔵4.3 Writing: Fables and Folktales

Fables and Folktales

Introduction

Hello Wonderful Writers!

Earlier this week,  you read your first fable. You read The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Today you will read another fable. As you read, think about the characters and what lesson or lessons did the characters learn.

Fables are fiction stories that people made up many years ago. People enjoyed telling these stories over and over. Fables often have animals as the characters and teach a lesson. This week you will explore and learn about fables that have been retold for many years. Next week, you will continue your lessons on fables. You will begin to write your own fable. As you read the stories this week, think about what is happening to the characters and what lessons they are learning.
