🔵 4.1 Writing: Fables and Folktales

Fables and Folktales

Introduction

Hello Wonderful Writers!

This week you will read and learn about many different fables. You may be familiar with some of the stories but some of them may be new. You will talk about the characters, the challenges the characters face and the lessons that the characters learn in the stories.

Fables are fiction stories that people made up many years ago. People enjoyed telling these stories over and over. Fables often have animals as the characters and teach a lesson. This week you will explore and learn about fables that have been retold for many years. Next week, you will continue your lessons on fables and begin to write your own fable. As you read the stories this week, think about what is happening to the characters and what lessons they are learning.
