Introduction

 

Hi Second Grade Economy Explorers! 

For this module, we’ll be learning all about goods and services. We’ll talk about how they are allocated (distributed) and how money and trade are used to obtain (get) them. You've already learned a little about this topic during Reading. We’ll be discussing and learning more about the ways this concept (idea) affects 2nd graders. Let’s explore some other interesting information about why all of us - kids and grown-ups, need to learn about goods and services.

Today you will need to do the following steps in order to complete the assignment:

  1. Watch the video about "She Merchants and Money from Long Ago".
  2. Complete the interactive - Flip video "Me as a Merchant".

Watch the video to learn about money was used long ago and compare it to buying and selling goods in the past to practices today.

Answer the questions in your journal. Then, you will record yourself answering the questions and sharing with your friends on a Flip Video on the next page.
