Reading Day 1: First Grade Reading Review

Introduction

Welcome to quarter 4 readers! This quarter we will review the reading skills we have learned this school year and you will have an opportunity to practice those skills. This week you will practice asking and answering questions about a text. Before beginning the lesson, review our anchor chart.

Now that you have reviewed your anchor chart it's your turn to show what you have learned this school year. Today you will read “Pam and Mac”. Record your reading for your teacher. After reading, you will ask and answer questions about the text that you read.

Pam&Mac Pam and Mac had a pet cat. the cat was tan and fat. the cat was Tim. tim got in the mud and got wet. pam, mac, and dad got Tim in the tub. tim got mad. tim was mad to get wet. he bit Pam and mac. but he did not bite dad. tim ran to mom. pam and Mac got tim a mat to sit on. tima sat and sat on his mat. the mat was in the sun. tim sees the mud and runs in the mud. tim got wet! he had lots of mud on him. pam and mac put Tim in the tub. this is mad. Pam, mac. mom, and dad have a fit and got tim in the tub.
