Phonics Day 1: OO, OU, EW Vowel Digraph Phonics Lesson
Introduction
Welcome to day one of our phonics lesson. This week we will look at oo, ou, and ew vowel digraphs. The pattern oo represents two sounds. One is the same as long u as in moon, whereas the other is the sound in the foot. This week we will look at it as it sounds in the word moon. Today we will substitute vowel sounds in words, read o o vowel words, and read our decodable story.
Let’s roll.
