Phonics Day 3: Compound Words

Introduction

Hello kids, and welcome to day three of our phonics lesson.  This week we have been learning about compound words. Today we will break compound words into two smaller words, look at a few ea words, sound out compound words, and read a decodable story.

 As we see words with the e a pattern, we must remember that they act as a rule breaker and make the short e sound.
