Phonics Day 3: oa ow
Introduction
Hello kids, and welcome to day three of our phonics lesson. This week we have been learning about the long o vowel patterns of oa and ow. Today we are going to play a long o sound stomp. I am going to say some words. I want you to stomp if you hear a long o in that word. If you hear another sound, you do nothing.
Boat hate mow goat ship blow
A few weeks ago, we introduced contractions. This week we will look at contractions again. Remember, contractions are two words that are turned into one word.
Today we will break compound words into two words, blend and read some contractions, and read our decodable story. Here we go!
