Welcome readers! Today we will explore a new nonfiction text. Remember, nonfiction text is real, true and provides information to the reader. Before beginning today, review our anchor chart on nonfiction text. Also, remember the nonficiton text features we have studied this year. This anchor chart is included for your review as well.

Icon Assignment Activity

Today we took a picture walk through our nonfiction book. Next you will tell the information you learned from the illustrator and their pictures. There is a photograph from the story for you to view. Look at the picture, describe the information you learned about the story, using the picture. You may write words, record a video or a voice recording.
