Reading Day 2: What did we learn from the illustrator? What did we learn from the author?

 

Introduction

Welcome readers! On Day 1 we explored the illustrations of our text and we talked about the information the pictures gave the reader. Today, we will explore the words in our text. After reading our nonfiction text, we will discuss the information we learned from the text. Before beginning your work today, review our anchor charts.

Today we read our nonfiction text. Next you will tell the information you learned from the author and the information in the text. There is a template for you to share the information you learned from the author.  You may write words, record a video or a voice recording to share the information you learned today.
