Phonics Day 2: Long A
Introduction
HI boys and girls and welcome to day 2 of our long/ a/ lesson. Remember long / a/ says its name. It often has a sneaky e at the end of the word. We call it sneaky because we do not hear it say anything, it just makes the vowel say its name. Today we are going to change the vowel sounds in words to make new words, read a few long /a /words, and read our long/ a/ decodable story. Remember Long /a /says its name. It often has sneaky e at the end. Let’s jump on our roller coaster again. Ready?
