Phonics Day 3: Digraph ch tch

Introduction

HI kids and welcome to day 3 of our ch tch digraph lesson. These digraphs make the /ch sound. They can be at the beginning and the end of words. Today we are going to play a  sound stomp, change the beginning sounds in words, blend words, then read our ch decodable story. First, let’s begin with our sound stomp, I am going to say some words. If you hear a  ch in that word I want you to stomp. If you hear another sound you do nothing.

Now I am going to read our /ch story for today. I would like you to read after me. Then write two /ch names that would be the names of the baby chicks.
