Introduction:
Welcome to a new week of reading! This week we will focus on retelling stories and identifying the central message in a story. Let’s review narrative elements we have learned. We learned the characters in the story are the people or animals. The setting of the story is when and where the story takes place. We learned that good readers discuss and ask questions about the stories they read. Lastly, we have discussed key details, the important information in the story. Today we will define story retell and the central message of a story. Please watch the video below. When you finish, take the quiz.
