Day 9: Regrouping with models (game)

Introduction

Hi First Graders,

In today’s lesson you will play a game called Race to 100.  The video below shows you how to play. You can use your own dice, cubes, and place value chart; or you may use the virtual manipulatives below. Have fun playing the game!

Directions: Roll a die. Count out that many ones on your place value chart. Continue rolling until you can regroup to make a ten. Keep going until you reach 100.
