Day 9: Ten Numbers Projects

Introduction

Hi Boys and Girls,

Today you will count objects and make groups of ten. For this lesson, you will need 3 different sets of objects. For example, you could use 24 Legos, 28 pieces of cereal, or 35 cubes. If you do not have objects at home to use, you can ask an adult to print this paper for you. You will need to cut out the pictures. Watch the video to see what to do!

Activity

Prepare three sets of 20-40 items to count. You can use your own items or you can ask an adult to print the items for counting handout. Download the items for counting handout. Count them out and then group them into tens. How many tens do you have? How many ones are left over? Repeat this with at least two more sets of objects.
