Phonics: Module 30, Lesson 2 (Day 147): Build Automaticity with Suffixes

Phonics: Lesson 2 - Build Automaticity with Suffixes

Introduction

  • Today, you will blend words with suffixes and read words to develop fluency.
  • Yesterday, we learned about suffixes. Remember, a suffix is a letter or group of letters placed at the end of a word to create a new word.

  • When you add the suffix -ing, -ment, or -ness to a word, you form a new word that is often a noun. The -ing suffix is also used to form verbs.
