Introduction

Today, you will blend words with closed syllables and read words to develop fluency.

Yesterday, we learned about closed syllable words. A closed syllable ends with a consonant. It often has a short vowel sound. Some words, such as plenty, have a closed first syllable. Other words, such as minus, have a closed second syllable.
