Reading: Module 36, Lesson 1 (Day 176): Independent Reading: Fluency-- Read it How the Author Tells You

Fluency-- Read it How the Author Tells You

Video

Hello readers!  When you come across dialogue in your book, pay attention to what the character says and how the character says it. Sometimes the author will just write "said" - you read that as a statement. But sometimes the author will tell you how the character says it using words like "whispered," "shouted," or "pleaded." Try to make the voice in your head sound just like that.
