  • Today, you will sort words with suffixes by common characteristics.

Let's review the differences between nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

  • A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing, or idea. For example: nurse, store, toy, and bravery. 
  • A verb is a word that shows an action. For example: jump, mix, write, and read.
  • An adjective is a word that describes a noun. For example: foggy, sharp, rough, and happy.
