Hello readers! Today you will practice identifying the meaning of compound words.

There are three different kinds of compound words: closed compound words, open compound words and hyphenated compound words. Compound words are two root words put together to form new word. Today you will work with closed compound words.

Compound words: 2 root words together to make a new word. Snow+ball=snowball. Definition: a ball made of packed snow.
