Introduction

Today, you will blend words with the long o and long u spelling patterns and read words to develop fluency.

First, let’s review the long o and long u spelling patterns. Long o words can be spelled with o-consonant-e, oa, ow, or o. Long u words can be spelled using u-consonant-e, ue, ew, or u.
