Hello, readers! For the last couple of days, we’ve been working toward getting you ready for independent reading. You have your just right reading spot. The other thing you need is books!

So, while you are reading in your just-right spot you will want a just-right book. You can use the chart below to help you determine if the book you are reading is too hard, too easy, or just right. If you're having difficulty deciding, ask someone at home to help you decide.

Directions:

• Make a copy, and then fill out the following reading log for each Just Right book that you read.
• Each week, download the updated form and upload to your teacher. (To download, click File> Download> PDF in the Sheet.)
