Assignment

Directions:

  • Think about the writing piece "The Time my Mom Lost her Wedding Ring"
  • What do you notice?
    • An example of a noticing would be: "I noticed a lot of writing."
  • What do you wonder?
    • An example of a wonder would be: "I wonder if the person wrote for 45 minutes?"
  • Go to a clean page in your writer's notebook and put your name and today’s date at the top.
    • Then fold your page in half, so there is a line going down the middle of the page, so you have 2 columns
    • Next title the top of one column NOTICINGS and the other WONDERINGS
    • Then write down all the things you notice and wonder about the piece under the correct title.
    • Try to get 3 in each column.
  • Take a picture of what you wrote and share it with your teacher.
