Lesson 2: Medical Terminology 

Medical science, much like different cultures, has a language all its own. Learning to decode medical terms in this course contributes to individual preparation for college entrance exams, college course success, and career success.

The National Library of Medicine provides a wonderful tutorial entitled Understanding Medical Words. This section of the assignment will involve intense study and word part recognition. Medical terminology is the foundation of ALL medical and healthcare careers.

Assessments will rely upon recall and lead to a cumulative assessment of the terms. Do not abandon the terms from lessons two and three because you will need that knowledge as we progress to decoding terminology.
