Lesson 4: Adolescence

After childhood, the next stage of development is adolescence.  This can also be a very challenging time for the growing person.  There are many changes that need to occur during this time.  It is the transition time between childhood and adulthood.  Most developmental scientists/researchers list adolescence as the time period between 12 and 20 although some believe that a person is still in adolescence through the college years to age 22.
