Data and information facilitate the creation of knowledge. Data Mining is the practice of examining large databases in order to generate new information. The data process involves forming questions from datasets, collecting the data, organizing the data, cleaning the data, analyzing the data, and visualizing the data. Data comes from humans, instruments, sensors, and datasets. Enormous amounts of data are collected and stored on the Internet. Computational manipulation of data requires consideration of how the data is presented, stored, secured, and transmitted. Large data requires the need for 100s of Terabytes of data. Special computer algorithms are developed to collect, analyze and process the data which requires computer storage space and time to process. There are a wide variety of ways to visualize data. Conventional methods include line, bar, pie charts, and maps. An Infographic is a visual way to display data with text.
