EBR - Evidence Based Reading Module Overview
Evidence Based Reading Module Overview
It is important for every student who takes the SAT to be a critical reader. What is a critical reader? It is a person who not only looks at WHAT a text says, but HOW that text presents the subject matter. As a critical reader, a student will want to recognize an author's purpose, understand tone and persuasive elements, and recognize bias. Critical reading is not just close and careful reading of a text. To read critically, one must actively recognize and analyze evidence upon the page. In this module, students will learn more about critical reading and the importance of evidence based reading and writing.
